You take a look around the laboratory, but it is admittedly kind of difficult to see anything in the room with these PROTECTIVE GOGGLES on. The main way they protect you is by showing you these... THINGS. You're not really sure what they are or what dimension(???) they're in, and as far as you can tell they can't actually interact with your plane of existence, but you sure feel SAFER knowing where they are. Can you imagine NOT being made aware that these otherwise undetectable THINGS are all around you, watching you, constantly, all the time? Good god, what a terrifying thought!

The goggles were just supposed to let you see a new spectrum of color, but the end result was a happy accident, which is basically how most of your best INVENTING happens. Sometimes science is more art than science. A lot of people don't get that.
