HAKEEM: Alright, so it sounds like we should still try to avoid dying horribly.
DESMODENA: yeah i can def get behind that plan
HAKEEM: What else?
DESMODENA: well, before our main goal was to escape truecorp, and now we know how to do that
DESMODENA: i guess we COULD just kill each other in the least traumatic way possible right now and be done with it
HAKEEM: I suppose so...
HAKEEM: That just seems kind of... unsatisfying? Not to mention unpleasant.
HAKEEM: Besides, it's not every day you get to lucid dream this clearly!
DESMODENA: yeah
DESMODENA: it's just really lame that we won't be able to remember this at all :/
DESMODENA: but maybe the experience could still be worthwhile?
DESMODENA: you said we're the only ones who have ever made it this deep in the simulation, right pal?
Pal3000: As far as my records show, that is correct.
DESMODENA: so we're kinda like subconscious explorers, this is literally uncharted territory
DESMODENA: i don't really give a shit about helping truecorp with their shady science pursuits
DESMODENA: if anything, us finding out the truth probably invalidates the experiment or something
DESMODENA: but i wouldn't hate just messing around and having fun with it
HAKEEM: Yeah!
HAKEEM: Hell, with a few modifications, this system would make for an AWESOME video game.
DESMODENA: (cough nerd cough)
HAKEEM: Not to mention the philosophical ramifications of it all.
HAKEEM: What does it even mean for a simulation to evolve based off of our dreams and subconscious minds? How much is dictated by code, and how much is in our heads?
HAKEEM: Like, what about you, Pal? Are you a programmed part of the simulation, or did we just dream you up?
Pal3000: Excellent question, Hakeem.
Pal3000: Like many things here, it's a little of both.
